Kingsport Parks and Recreation offering Kids’ Day Out Camps

The Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department is offering two special Kids’ Day Out camps next month. The camps will be held September 2 and September 12 – the same days as a Kingsport City Schools’ in-service day and parent/teacher conference day, respectively.

The one-day camps will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day at the V.O. Dobbins, Sr. Complex (301 Louis Street).

The cost per child is $10 and the camp is open for ages 6 to 12. The maximum number of registrants is 50. Participants will need to bring lunch and a snack.

The day’s activities will be similar to those found during the normal summer camp program – dodgeball, basketball, kickball, movies, coloring, puzzles, board and card games, crafts and more.
