Kingsport Parks and Recreation offering bike camp this summer
The Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department is hitting the pavement this summer with a special bike camp for boys and girls.
The one-week camp will take place 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. from July 7 through July 10 at various city parks, including Borden Park, the Brickyard Pump Track and the Kingsport Greenbelt.
Children ages 6 to 12 can register and the cost is $50 for city residents and $60 for non-city residents. You will need to bring your own bicycle and helmet.
“This camp is all about building confidence, learning bike safety and having fun on two wheels,” said Program Administrator Jason Wilburn. “So, bring your bike, your helmet, and your sense of adventure to this special one-week camp.”
