Kingsport Parks and Recreation offering Beginner Yoga
Yoga is an ancient practice that brings the mind and body together through stretching, breathing and meditation. Yoga can improve your mental health and balance, reduce stress and anxiety and is beneficial to your overall well-being.
If you’ve thought about improving your health and wellness but didn’t know where to start, then now may be the perfect time to try your hand at Yoga.
Kingsport Parks and Recreation is offering a beginner yoga program at the V.O. Dobbins, Sr. Complex (301 Louis Street) for anyone ages 16 and older. The class focuses on gentle movement, simple stretches and basic yoga poses to help increase flexibility, reduce stress and build confidence in a calm, beginner-friendly setting.
The hour-long classes will take place every Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. beginning April 29 and continuing to May 27. Cost is $35 for the entire program or $10 a session if you drop in the day of.

There will be a limited number of mats available so feel free to bring your own.
