Kingsport Parks and Recreation offering Beginner Tennis Lessons
It’s time to grab your racket, lace up your best pair of tennis shoes and hit the court. Beginning today, the Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department is accepting registrations for its summer tennis lessons.
Three different types of classes will be offered – Adaptive Needs, 10 and Under and 11 and Above. The classes will take place at the Borden Park tennis courts.
Schedule of classes and times:
- Adaptive Needs: June 7 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
- 10 and Under: June 2 through June 5 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- 10 and Under: June 23 through June 26 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- 11 and Above: June 2 through June 5 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- 11 and Above: June 23 through June 26 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Registration cost for the adaptive needs class is $15 per person; all other classes are $60 per person. Students will learn the basics of tennis, including hand-eye coordination and motor skills.
