Kingsport Parks and Recreation offering Basketball Camp
Basketball provides young boys and girls a wide range of benefits – from providing discipline, improving physical health and building confidence, to learning teamwork and communication skills.
And to top it all off – the game of basketball is fun and exciting for players of all ages.
Kingsport Parks and Recreation is offering a one-day Basketball Camp at the V.O. Dobbins, Sr. Complex (301 Louis Street) on June 27 with sessions for two different age groups:
- Ages 8 to 11 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- Ages 12 to 15 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
During this one-day camp, participants of all skills levels will learn basketball fundamentals like dribbling, shooting and passing, along with teamwork and game play. No prior basketball experience is required.
The cost is $20 per participant, and the camps will be held at the V.O. Dobbins, Sr. Complex. (301 Louis Street).
“Whether your child is just getting started or looking to improve their game, this camp is a great opportunity to learn new skills and make new friends on the court,” said Program Administrator Erin Larkin.
