Kingsport offices closed for Thanksgiving holiday

City News

No garbage/trash collection on November 23

Kingsport offices will be closed during the Thanksgiving holiday – November 23 and November 24. There will be no garbage or trash services on Thanksgiving Day (November 23).

Garbage route changes will be as follows:

Thursday (11/23) garbage will be picked up on Friday (11/24).

Friday (11/24) garbage will be picked up on Saturday (11/25).

Trash/Yard Waste route changes will be as follows:

Thursday (11/23) trash/yard waste will be picked up on Friday (11/24).

Friday (11/24) trash/yard waste will be picked up on Saturday (11/25).

In addition to these route changes, the city’s demolition landfill will be closed to the public on November 23 and November 24. The landfill will be open on November 25 from 8 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. and will resume normal hours of operation on November 27.
