Kingsport offices closed for Thanksgiving holiday

No garbage/trash collection on November 28

Kingsport offices will be closed during the Thanksgiving holiday – November 28 and November 29. There will be no garbage or trash services on Thanksgiving Day (November 28).

Garbage route changes will be as follows:

Thursday (11/28) garbage will be picked up on Friday (11/29).

Friday (11/29) garbage will be picked up on Saturday (11/30).

Trash/Yard Waste route changes will be as follows:

Thursday (11/28) trash/yard waste will be picked up on Friday (11/29).

Friday (11/29) trash/yard waste will be picked up on Saturday (11/30).

In addition to the route changes, the city’s demolition landfill will be closed to the public on November 28 and November 29. The landfill will reopen on November 30 from 8 a.m, to 11:45 a.m. and will resume normal hours of operation December 2.
