Kingsport offering Baseball and Softball Skills and Drills courses

The Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department is offering Baseball & Softball Skills and Drills courses beginning next month for children interested in learning the basics of these exciting sports.

The baseball class will be held at Hunter Wright Stadium on March 7 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. while the softball class will be held at Indian Highland Park on March 14 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Open to boys and girls ages 7 through 13.

The Skills & Drills program focuses on key aspects of the game, such as batting, fielding, throwing and base running. Participants engage in structured drills aimed at enhancing technique, coordination, and game awareness.

In addition, the program emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship, making it ideal for both beginners looking to learn the basics and more advanced players seeking to refine their abilities.
