Kingsport hosting School’s (Almost) Out SK8 Day
School’s almost out and summer is just around the corner. What better way to get in the summer mood than by spending an afternoon skateboarding with friends and family.
Kingsport Parks and Recreation is teaming up with 21:12 Skateboarding to host its 3rd Annual School’s (Almost) Out Skatepark Day on May 16 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Scott Adams Memorial Skatepark (Brickyard Park Drive).
“We’re encouraging families to bring their wheels, whether it’s skateboards, inline skates, bicycling or scooters. All riders are welcome to come out and join in on the fun,” said Program Coordinator Michael Morris. “It’ll be the perfect kickoff for the summer.”
The event is free and open to the public and will feature children’s activities, giveaways, activity booths, raffles and food trucks.
