Kingsport hosting “glow” volleyball event
Kingsport Parks and Recreation is hosting a glow volleyball event February 17 at the V.O. Dobbins, Sr. Complex (301 Louis Street).
Glow events are when participants wear neon or white clothes, the lights to a gym are turned off and the black lights are turned on. Everyone then “glows” in the dark while running around and playing a game of volleyball.
The event is for people ages 14 and up and the cost is $5 per player. There will be three divisions of play based on skill levels.
- B Division (6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.)
- BB Division (8 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.)
- A Division (9:30 p.m. to 10:45 p.m.)
“Glow volleyball has been one of our most successful events we’ve ever had,” said Program Administrator Rene Ensor. “It’s always just a fun night of volleyball play.” Registration will take place the day of the event.
