Kingsport hosting Champions of the Court pickleball tournament

Kingsport Parks and Recreation is now accepting registrations for its Champions of the Court pickleball tournament coming later this month.

The four-week event will take place on Mondays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. beginning September 14 and continuing through October 5. All games will be played at the Jack Pierce, Sr. Park at Riverview Courts.

Cost is $5 per person per week, and the event is open to 20 players per week. Participants must be ages 14 and older.

Players will receive a random draw for a partner when they arrive. Win your match and you and your partner split and move up a court. Lose, you and your partner split and move down a court. The top two players from each week will be in the final tournament October 12.
