Kingsport Carousel hosting Christmas in July

The City of Kingsport is getting into the Christmas Spirit early this year by hosting a special “Christmas in July” event at the Kingsport Carousel later this month.

Children of all ages are encouraged to visit the Kingsport Carousel (320 Clinchfield Street) between 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on July 29 and join in on the festivities.

The carousel will be festively decorated, snow will be falling in the playground, and holiday music will be playing to help get everyone in the Christmas spirit. All day long, anyone (child or adult) wearing Christmas attire will receive one free ride on the carousel and guests can enjoy free popsicles and temporary tattoos (while supplies last).

“We’re roughly six months away from Christmas, so now is the perfect time to celebrate the magic of the holidays with the magic of the carousel,” said Program Leader Cindy Turner. “We’ll have the carousel decorated, snow will be falling and treats will be given out. It’s simply going to be an exciting day for everyone.”
