Information Resources: Housing Options

City News

An affordable, safe home is essential to a person or a family securing a better future for themselves. A home can provide you with greater independence, financial stability, improved health and stronger outcomes for children.

However, finding a perfect home can be a challenging undertaking, especially given today’s market.

To help residents learn more about housing options within the city, the City of Kingsport has posted these links on its Information Resources page.

Kingsport’s Community Development page

Visit Kingsport’s community development page to learn more about federal funds to upgrade individual homes and neighborhoods for low- to moderate-income homeowners. The page has a helpful FAQ section as well as links to applications for assistance. Related links and department contacts provide ways to find additional information.

KingsportHousing.com

Kingsport Housing & Redevelopment Authority (KHRA) offers affordable housing opportunities and provides rental assistance to eligible clients and families. Rental assistance programs include housing choice vouchers, supportive housing, shelter plus care and HOPWA. Affordable housing communities can be found at seven Kingsport locations. The organization’s website also has a wealth of information about community development initiatives.

MovetoKingsport.com

Move to Kingsport is an initiative of the Kingsport Chamber of Commerce that aims to be a one-stop-shop for information about relocating to the Model City. Visitors will learn about the employment, education, and wellness opportunities of Kingsport, along with other notable amenities found within the city. Visitors can request a relocation guide and browse through links to real estate companies, apartments, moving and storage companies and senior living options.
