Hyper Reach provides text, emails alerts for emergency situations
Emergencies can occur at any time and when they do, you will want to have the latest information as soon as possible. Whether it’s a waterline break, an industrial accident, inclement weather or hazardous road conditions, staying informed can make the difference between life and death.
An easy way to receive the latest information about emergencies, critical events and urgent situations is to enroll in Hyper-Reach. Hyper-Reach is a mass notification system that sends you text and email alerts about important events taking place within the community.
Residents and people who work in Kingsport are encouraged to enroll in Hyper-Reach by calling or texting “Alert” to (423) 390-0272 or by going to the following website – http://hyper-reach.com/tnsullivansignup.html.
Residents can also receive emergency alerts via their Alexa-enabled smart speakers by saying “Alexa, enable Hyper-Reach” and following the Alexa-provided instructions. You will need to provide your name, address and how you wish to be contacted (text message or email).
Remember – Be sure to choose the correct street address so any Emergency Alerts affecting only your immediate area will reach you.
