Create memories with Grandparents & Me Paint program
The Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a special artistic program next month where grandparents can spend some quality, creative time with their grandchildren.
A Grandparents and Me Paint event will take place at Borden Park (Shelter #3) on September 6 from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and is recommended for children ages 5 and older.
The cost of the class is $45 for city residents and $50 for non-city residents. The registration fee covers both an adult and child. All supplies will be provided.
Grandparents and grandchildren will share a canvas to create a one of a kind masterpiece, led by local artist Mercedes Brown of Mercy Berry Art.
“This first-ever program is tailor-made for grandparents who are looking to spend quality time with their grandchildren and create that special work of art that can be hung on the wall for years to come,” said Program Administrator Laura Williams.
