A Winter Wonderland at the Kingsport Aquatic Center

City News

The Kingsport Aquatic Center will be a beautiful sight this weekend as folks spend an afternoon “swimin’ in a winter wonderland.”

A Winter Wonderland Swim event will be held at the Kingsport Aquatic Center (1820 Meadowview Parkway) on Dec. 10 from noon to 3 p.m. Admission will be $5 if you pre-register and $7 at the door.

Visitors will play reindeer games, meet Santa Claus and Elsa, and enter prize drawings while enjoying three hours of indoor swim time. For those who don’t wish to swim, there will be plenty of games and crafts to enjoy as well.

An elusive Elf on a Shelf will be hidden somewhere within the Kingsport Aquatic Center and the one who finds him will receive a special gift package.

“We are excited to debut the Winter Wonderland Swim event here at Kingsport Aquatic Center this Saturday,” said Madison Gump, aquatics program coordinator. “It’ll be a great family-friendly event for all ages looking for an indoor activity this winter.”

To register visit www.kingsporttn.gov and click on the “CivicRec” link. Then enter “Winter Wonderland” in the search bar. For more information about the Kingsport Aquatic Center visit www.swimkingsport.com.
