Time to dig out your tackiest Christmas sweater, grab your bike and helmet and embrace your inner elf. The Kingsport Parks and Recreation are hosting its first-ever Cotton Headed Ninny Muggins family bike ride later this month.
The event will take place at 11 a.m. on December 20 at the Kingsport Greenbelt’s Indian Trail Drive trailhead (located behind PetSmart). The event is free and open to bike riders of all ages.
Participants will need to bring their own helmet and bike, and riders are encouraged to decorate their bikes with a Christmas theme. Tacky sweaters of all varieties are welcomed.
“A good way to survive the hustle and bustle of the holiday season is with a relaxing bike ride with friends and family,” said Program Administrator Jason Wilburn. “So, join us later this month because a good way to spread Christmas cheer is pedaling loud for all to hear.”
Though the event is free, Kingsport Parks and Recreation officials are asking folks to register to know approximately how many people will be showing up.
To register, visit https://bit.ly/4oKtQYu. You can also click on the CivicRec link in the Connect Kingsport app or go to www.kingsporttn.gov and click on the “CivicRec” link, then search for “bike ride” in the search bar.
