The spring sports season is almost here. Kingsport Parks & Recreation is now registering teams for adult spring softball. Teams can have a maximum of 20 players on their roster. Divisions offered are Women’s Open, Co-Ed, Men’s Open, Industrial, and Church.
League play is scheduled to begin mid April. The entry fee is $350.00 per team with a $10.00 non-resident fee for all players who live outside Kingsport city limits (max: $50). The deadline for registration is Monday, March 23, at 5:30 p.m.
Teams can register Monday through Friday at the Civic Auditorium, located at 1550 Fort Henry Drive, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

On January 20, 2020 a white female adult suspect used a stolen debit card to make a fraudulent withdrawal of $200 from an Eastman Credit Union ATM, located at 201 South Wilcox Drive in Kingsport.
An array of photos of this suspect, taken from surveillance video footage, has been included in this release. Anyone who recognizes her is asked to contact Detectives in the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111. Update: Lucy V. Steffey has been found safe and is no longer considered a missing person.
As previously released: On February 14, 2020, Lucy V. Steffey was reported missing to the Kingsport Police Department by a family member who stated that she has not been seen or heard from in two months. While foul play is not suspected at this time, due to personal information relayed to Detectives during their investigation, there is reason to be concerned for her overall safety and welfare. Ms. Steffey is a 35 year old white female adult. She is approximately 5 feet 2 inches in height and weighs roughly 131 pounds. She has brown hair and green eyes. Her photograph is included in this release. Anyone who sees her or who may know her current whereabouts is asked to contact Detectives in the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111.
