GENERAL NARRATIVE |
On July 31, 2014 at approximately 4:00 AM, two suspects attempted to burglarize the Minute Market, located at 1108 East Center Street in Kingsport. The suspects threw a concrete block into the front doors of the business and shattered the glass, but they were unsuccessful at gaining entry. The store’s alarm activated and the suspects fled the scene.
The suspects disabled an exterior surveillance camera; however, their crime was captured on surveillance video on a second surveillance camera from inside the store. A photo of the suspects taken from the video footage is included in this release. The actual footage has been made available for viewing on the K.P.D. YouTube channel via the link below: The suspects partially concealed their identities by wrapping their shirts around their heads; however, they both appear to be slim, young adult, white males. Anyone who recognizes either of these individuals is asked to contact the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111. |
