ONEKingsport Post-Summit Workgroups Bring Big Ideas to BMA
KINGSPORT – On March 23, 2016, the seven Post-Summit Workgroups will present their big ideas and recommendations to the Board of Mayor and Alderman of Kingsport. The workgroups include Arts & Entertainment, Destination City Investments, Downtown Revitalization, Housing, Higher Education Innovation, Health & Wellness and Job Creation & Entrepreneurship.‚ Collectively, they have held over 100 meetings and volunteered countless hours over the last four months to formulate recommendations for the BMAs consideration.
The presentations are open to the public as it is a called work session, and all citizens are welcome and encouraged to attend.

When: Wednesday, March 23 at 9:00 a.m.
Mayor John Clark has challenged citizens to work together to realize the citys true potential and to fulfill the Summit goal to become the best possible Kingsport, a place that is attracting and retaining new and existing residents, visitors, business and developers.‚ The next phase is careful consideration from the BMA to create an implementation plan based upon the recommendations that move forward.
