| Kingsport Police Department Vice Detectives arrested two individuals, one of whom was armed, after interrupting a drug deal in progress.
On August 15, 2013 at approximately 9:00 PM, K.P.D. Vice Detectives were investigating a complaint of drug activity at 120 West Stone Drive in Kingsport, when they interrupted a drug deal in progress. Two individuals, later identified as Paul E. Tyndall and David J. Hayes had pulled their vehicles alongside each other in the parking lot and were conducting a drug transaction. During a search, Mr. Tyndall was found to be in possession of 28 grams of marijuana. Mr. Hayes was found to be in possession of 9 grams of marijuana as well as a Taurus .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol. Paul Tyndall was charged with: 1) Possession of a Schedule VI Drug for Resale Within 1000 Feet of a City Park David Hayes was charged with: 1) Simple Possession of a Schedule VI Drug 2) Going Armed For additional information, please contact: Ptl.
