General Narrative |
| Two individuals are wanted in a domestic violence incident that resulted in a stabbing.
On August 9, 2013, shortly after midnight, a domestic disturbance occurred at the home of Kawana Kiser, located at 1355 Warpath Drive in Kingsport. Kawana Kiser was in a verbal argument with her daughter, Ashley Kiser. Ashley’s brother, Franklin Kiser, was apparently attempting to mediate the argument when Ashley turned on him, grabbed him by the throat, and began punching him about the head and shoulders. Ashley Kiser’s boyfriend, Anthony Coffey, engaged in the fracas which then spilled outside into the yard. Mr. Coffey retrieved a knife from a vehicle and stabbed Franklin Kiser once in the abdomen. He attempted to stab Franklin a second time; however, Franklin blocked the attack, receiving a laceration on his elbow in the process. Anthony Coffey and Ashley Kiser fled the scene in a dark colored Honda Accord. Details on a Honda Accord that is registered to Ashley are listed above. Kawana Kiser transported Franklin Kiser to Holston Valley Medical Center for treatment. Anthony and Ashley live in Rutledge, TN and could possibly have fled to that area. K.P.D. Detective John McGee is obtaining warrants charging Anthony Coffey with Attempted Second Degree Murder and Ashley Kiser with Simple Assault/Domestic Violence.
