General Narrative |
The Kingsport Police Department is requesting assistance from the public in identifying two individuals connected with the theft of a customer’s money at a Colonial Heights convenience store.
On July 16, 2013 at approximately 1:15 PM, a male customer was preparing to make a purchase at the Roadrunner Market, located at 4101 Fort Henry Drive in the Colonial Heights area of Kingsport. The male customer placed approximately $70 in cash on the counter and looked away for a moment. Two white females, one with dark hair and the other with blonde hair, also approached the counter to make a purchase. The female with blonde hair placed her hand on the unattended money briefly but removed her hand without taking it. Immediately afterward, the female with the dark hair snatched the money from the counter and exited the store. The two females appeared to have been acquaintances and are believed to have left the location together. Photographs of the suspect and her acquaintance, captured from surveillance video, are included in this release, but the actual video footage is available for viewing by media representatives if they so desire. Anyone who may know the identity and/or whereabouts of either of these two individuals is asked to contact the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111. For additional information, please contact: Ptl. Thomas M. Patton K.P.D.
