GENERAL NARRATIVE |
Two suspects are being sought by Kingsport Police Detectives in connection with the fraudulent use of stolen credit cards. On September 5, 2014 at approximately 9:30 AM, a woman’s credit cards were stolen from her purse while she dined at Panera Bread in Johnson City, TN.
The credit cards were used almost immediately at the nearby Johnson City location of Best Buy, and then at approximately 11:30 AM on the same day, the cards were used at Kingsport’s Best Buy, located at 2716 East Stone Drive. At the Kingsport location, the cards were used in two separate transactions approximately ten minutes apart. The first charge was for $817.87 in merchandise while the second charge was for $3,131.66 in merchandise. The suspects were recorded by video surveillance cameras both entering and exiting the store, and photos taken from this footage are included in this release. One of these individuals appears to be a black male with the other appearing to be a black female with a lighter complexion. K.P.D.
