| SUBJECT: | Three Arrested After K.P.D. Vice Detectives Investigate a Drug Complaint | ||

| GENERAL NARRATIVE | |||
| On March 30, 2015 at approximately 12:45 AM, Detectives with the Kingsport Vice Unit responded to a local Hotel in Kingsport to assist Patrol Officers in reference to a report of drug activity. During the course of the Investigation Officers came into contact with Billy Fisher whom was staying at the Hotel. After receiving consent to search his room Officers located a large amount of US Currency and Schedule II and IV Narcotics. Detectives also located various items identified as Drug Paraphernalia. Subsequently Fisher was arrested and charged with Possession of Schedule IV and II narcotics for Resale and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. As a result of this investigation Detectives found over fifty five thousand dollars ($55,000.00) in US Currency which was seized that is believed to be drug proceeds. The total amount of Schedule II narcotics seized was over one hundred and forty (140) pills identified as Oxycodone a Schedule II narcotic. The total amount of Schedule IV narcotics that was seized totaled more than six hundred and forty (640) pills identified as Alprazolam. The street value total for the narcotics is valued at $10,000.00. Fisher was taken to the Kingsport City Jail and was arraigned on March 31. Fisher’s bond was set at $10,000.00. Fisher is still currently in custody at the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office.
During the course of this investigation Vice Detectives went to another location in Kingsport that was related to the incident at the Hotel. Both Patrol Officers and Detectives went to 326 Clearwater Dr, Kingsport TN. After arriving at the residence they spoke with the resident of the home, Anthony Durant. Detectives were given consent to search the home by Durant. As a result of the search Detectives located over half an ounce of Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia and Schedule IV narcotics. Durant was arrested and charged with Possession of Schedule IV and VI for Resale, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Maintaining a Dwelling were Narcotics are Used/Sold/Stored. Durant was also in possession of over five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) which was seized that is believed to be drug proceeds. The total amount of Schedule IV drugs seized was over nineteen hundred (1,900) pills identified as Alprazolam. The Schedule VI that was found was identified as Marijuana and total over half an ounce. The street value total for the narcotics is valued at $19,000.00. Durant was taken to the Kingsport City Jail and arraigned on March 31. Durant’s bond was set at $12,000.00 and has since posted bond. Markeith Hood was also present at Clearwater Dr address at the time of the search and was found to be in Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Hood was also arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and was taken to the Kingsport City Jail. Hood’s bond was set at $750.00. Hood has since posted a cash bond. As a result of both investigations KPD Vice Detectives seized more than sixty thousand dollars ($60,000.00) in US Currency and over twenty seven hundred (2,700) pills with a street value total over thirty thousand dollars ($30,000). |
