SUBJECT: | Kingsport Police Continue to Investigate Saturday Evening Shooting on East Stone Drive | ||

GENERAL NARRATIVE | |||
On August 20, 2016 at approximately 8:25 PM, the Kingsport Police Department was notified of a shooting in the vicinity of Regions Bank and Buffalo Wild Wings, located at 1717 and 1721 East Stone Drive respectively, in Kingsport. Numerous Patrol Officers and Detectives responded to the scene. One adult male victim was transported to an area medical facility for treatment. The suspect remains unidentified and at large.
The K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division is still actively investigating this shooting with many critical questions remaining unanswered. Detectives are continuing to sort through evidence and numerous conflicting witness statements in an attempt to determine what exactly transpired the night of the shooting. Unfortunately, publicly releasing any additional information at this point would only serve to further cloud the investigation. In the meantime, Detectives do request that anyone who may have witnessed the shooting, know the identity of the suspect, or have any information which may assist with this investigation to please contact them in the K.P.D.
