SUBJECT: | Kingsport Police Attempting to Learn Identities of Thieves Who Targeted Unlocked Vehicle | ||

GENERAL NARRATIVE | |||
On November 15, 2015, shortly before 2:00 PM, two individuals stole a woman’s purse from her vehicle that had been left parked, unoccupied and unlocked, in the parking lot of the Kingsport Town Center (Fort Henry Mall) located at 2101 Fort Henry Drive in Kingsport.
The two suspects, a white male and a white female, were recorded on surveillance video during the incident, with photos taken from that footage included in this release. Anyone who recognizes them is asked to contact Detectives in the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111. Alternatively, if an individual who is able to supply information related to this or any other case wishes not to be identified, tips can be submitted anonymously via online “Citizen Feedback” forms available at the following link: http://police.KingsportTN.gov/Citizen_Feedback The Kingsport Police Department repeatedly warns citizens to always lock car doors and always remove items of value from plain sight. While no crime prevention strategy is 100% foolproof, following this simple advice will all but eliminate the chances of becoming a victim of an auto burglary. |
