GENERAL NARRATIVE |
On June 2, 2014 at approximately 3:00 AM, a 2003 Honda Pilot was stolen from a residence on Dobyns Drive in Kingsport. At the time of the theft, the keys were in the vehicle and the doors were unlocked.
Approximately 30 minutes later, the white male suspect in this incident was caught on surveillance video when he stopped for gas at Zoomers, located on the corner of Fort Henry Drive and Eastman Road. The vehicle was recovered three days later when it was found abandoned in a parking lot on North Eastman Road. A photo of the suspect taken from surveillance video has been included in this release. The actual video footage has been made available for viewing on the K.P.D. YouTube channel via the link below: Anyone who recognizes this individual is asked to contact the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111. Citizens are cautioned to never leave the keys inside their vehicle and to always lock their vehicle anytime it is left unattended.
