GENERAL NARRATIVE | |||
On February 11, 2015 at approximately 9:15 AM a white male suspect arrived in the parking lot of Food City, located at 300 Clinchfield Street in Kingsport. While there, the suspect entered an unlocked Honda Accord and stole an iPhone 4s Smartphone.
Approximately 10 minutes later, the same white male suspect arrived in the parking lot of Walgreens, located at 1420 West Stone Drive in Kingsport. At this location, the suspect entered an unlocked Ford Explorer and stole a purse. At the time of both incidents, the suspect was traveling in a blue Toyota Camry 4-door sedan. The Toyota is distinguished by having a large “T” decal in the rear window and a smaller “T” decal in the passenger-side back-seat window. A photograph of the suspect’s vehicle is included in this release. Anyone who recognizes this vehicle or who may know the identity of the owner and/or operator is asked to contact the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111. Alternatively, if an individual who is able to supply information related to this or any other case wishes not to be identified, tips can be submitted anonymously via online “Citizen Feedback” forms available at the following link: http://police.KingsportTN.gov/Citizen_Feedback Finally, the Kingsport Police Department continues to stress the importance of locking vehicle doors and removing items of value from plain view. The vast majority of auto burglaries are crimes of opportunity, and following these two simple tips can go a long way toward not becoming the next victim. |
