DATE: | July 14, 2015 | ||
CASE #: | 15-011398 | ||
GENERAL NARRATIVE | |||
On June 1, 2015 at approximately 10:00 PM, a white male and a white female entered an unlocked vehicle in the parking lot of McDonalds, located at 1501 Lynn Garden Drive in Kingsport. The pair rummaged through the vehicle and stole the faceplate from the car stereo and some loose change. At the time of the offense, the suspects were traveling in a black 4-door sedan.
Images of the male suspect and the black sedan were captured on surveillance video. Detectives are hoping that someone will recognize him or his vehicle, and/or know the identity of his female accomplice. Several photos are included in this release. Two clips from the surveillance video have been made available for viewing on the K.P.D YouTube channel via the links below: Anyone who can assist Detectives with this case is asked to contact the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111. Alternatively, if an individual who is able to supply information related to this or any other case wishes not to be identified, tips can be submitted anonymously via online “Citizen Feedback” forms available at the following link: http://police.KingsportTN.gov/Citizen_Feedback Finally, the Kingsport Police Department continues to urge all citizens to always lock the doors to their vehicles, and always remove any items of value from plain view. Following this simple advice has been proven to easily make the difference in whether or not a particular vehicle is targeted by an auto-burglar. |
