KPD e-News Release: K.P.D. Detectives Ask for Public Assistance in Identifying iPad Thief

Kingsport Police Detectives are searching for a suspect in the theft of an iPad computer tablet. On November 9, 2014 at approximately 6:30 PM, a white male suspect stole an iPad from the waiting room of a local medical facility. The owner had left the tablet plugged in to charge and had covered it with her jacket while she left the room for a few minutes. When she returned, the iPad was gone.
Surveillance cameras captured the suspect on video, and a photograph taken from that footage is included in this release. Anyone who recognizes this individual is asked to contact detectives in the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111.
