GENERAL NARRATIVE |
On July 21, 2014 at approximately 1:30 PM, a search warrant was executed at the residence of Harry B. Watts, located at 1019 Dale Street Alley in Kingsport. This operation was a cooperative effort between the Vice Units of the Kingsport Police Department and Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office. Mr. Watts was home at the time the warrant was executed.
During the search, over ½ gram of crack cocaine as well as paraphernalia commonly utilized to package it for resale (small baggies) were located and collected as evidence. Additionally, approximately $4,000 in United States currency and coin, and a large amount of collectable coins were located inside the residence. All of these monies were seized as proceeds from the sale of narcotics. This residence is in close proximity to a neighborhood municipal park. Mr. Watts was arrested and charged with: 1) Possession of a Schedule II Drug (Crack Cocaine) for Resale within 1000 feet of a City Park (Dale Street Park) 2) Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 3) Maintaining a Dwelling where Narcotics are Stored He was transported to the Kingsport City Jail where he was confined pending his arraignment the following morning. At his arraignment, his bond was set at $20,000 which he promptly posted, securing his release until his next scheduled appearance in General Sessions Court on October 30, 2014 at 1:00 PM. |
