Kingsport Parks and Recreation hosting Pedal and Plant event
The Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department is hosting its first-ever Pedal and Plant event, where participants will have an opportunity to get some exercise while sprucing up the look of the Kingsport Greenbelt.
This free event will take place from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on April 22 at the Kingsport Greenbelt’s Industry Drive Trailhead (855 Industry Drive). Participants must bring their own helmet and bike.
It’s the perfect opportunity for families to get outside, plant some flowers for Earth Day and enjoy a causal bike ride along the greenbelt.
Though the event is free, Kingsport Parks and Recreation officials are asking folks to register to know approximately how many people will be showing up.
To register, please visit https://bit.ly/3TYeK3A. You can also register by clicking on the CivicRec link in the Connect Kingsport app or go to www.kingsporttn.gov and click on “CivicRec,” then search for “pedal & plant” in the search bar.
