Dobyns-Bennett Juniors Encouraged to Prepare for ACT Test
KINGSPORT – The Dobyns-Bennett High School Guidance Office is reminding all 11th grade students to prepare for the upcoming Tuesday, March 15 ACT statewide test.
Beginning in 2010, all 11th grade students in Tennessee are required to take the ACT, at no cost. Kingsport City Schools will be closed on Tuesday, March 15 to allow for the administration of the ACT test at Dobyns-Bennett High School.
Any junior who chooses not to test on Tuesday, March 15 must pick up a voucher from the Dobyns-Bennett Counseling Office prior to Friday, January 7 in order to take the test at no cost on the February or April national test dates.
In addition, ACT tutoring will be available February 7-11 and March 7-11 at 3 p.m. in the Dobyns-Bennett library. Those interested should visit the library during the week of January 31-Feb 3 or Feb 28 – March 3 for a diagnostic test.
