STATE ROUTE 224 / US 23 CORRIDOR STUDY CITIZEN INFORMATION MEETING SCHEDULED FOR JANUARY 18

KINGSPORT – The Kingsport Municipal Planning Organization will hold a citizen information meeting for the Route 224/ US Route 23 corridor study on Tuesday, January 18 from 5 ‚¬ 7 p.m. at Gate City High/Middle School Cafeteria, 178 Harry Fry Drive in Gate City.
The citizen information meeting will assist the study team with development of the long-term transportation plan for the US 23 and Route 224 (Wadlow Gap Rd.) corridors.
There will be a 20-minute formal presentation at 5:15 p.m.; however, citizens will be able to speak with study representatives regarding the project anytime between 5 and 7 p.m.
If Scott County schools are closed on January 18 due to a snow event, this workshop will be rescheduled for January 27 at the same time and location.
