Cleek Road improvements requires six-week closure of one lane on Orebank Road
KINGSPORT – With Phase 2 of Cleek Road improvements approaching completion, the City of Kingsport will need to close one lane of Orebank Road near the intersection of Cleek, Orebank and Lamberth Street for the next six weeks. The contractor, Bakers Construction Services, will provide flaggers and signage to direct traffic. During closures, detour signs will be clearly posted in advance of the work zone. While the City regrets the inconvenience of the traffic disruption, the completed Cleek Road project will provide a safer, more efficient travel corridor, along with new options for pedestrians that were previously unavailable, including a Greenbelt connector. The closures will begin on Friday, October 25, 2013, and motorists are asked to plan ahead and seek alternative routes at peak travel hours, while always using the utmost caution in the work zone.
