Board of Mayor and Aldermen to host next community listening post at Fire Station 3
KINGSPORT ‚¬ Fire Station 3, 3828 Memorial Drive, will be the location of the second of three community listening posts being hosted in October by the Board of Mayor and Aldermen and the Citys management team.
The listening post will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2014. While intended primarily for residents of Indian Springs and Fall Creek, any resident is welcome to attend the event.
On behalf of the Board of Mayor and Aldermen, I want to thank those citizens of Colonial Heights and Sullivan County Commissioners who came out this past Saturday morning, Mayor Phillips said. While we designed these listening posts to reach outlying neighborhoods, I would encourage any resident who wants to participate to come by or call us at City Hall as their schedules permit.
The third listening post for the residents of the Rock Springs area will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Fire Station 7 off of Rock Springs Road, again from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Our City has grown considerably in the past few years, Phillips said. Its our job to make sure our residents are heard, and to spread the word about City services as well as what steps we are taking to strengthen our local economy.
