Sullivan County Conservation Camp for 4th Graders Set For September 7-9
KINGSPORT ‚¬ Nearly 900 fourth grade students from Sullivan County schools, including the City of Bristol and the City of Kingsport, will attend the annual Sullivan County Conservation Camp held September 7, 8 and 9 at Warriors Path State Park.
Keep Bristol Beautiful, Keep Kingsport Beautiful, Sullivan County Department of Education and Sullivan County Recycling Department sponsor the event each year, with assistance from Warriors
Conservation Camp introduces students to a variety of environmental learning activities. Students will rotate through 12 stations, ranging in topics from Industrys Role in Conservation, presented by Eastman Chemical Company, to Creepy Crawlies, presented by Hands On! Museum in
Volunteer presenters from various agencies, companies and organizations provide the educational programming for Conservation Camp. Teachers are provided a booklet with the presenters information in order to contact them for a detailed classroom presentation.
Conservation Camp will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. each day in the overflow campground at Warriors
Keep Kingsport Beautiful is a cooperative program between the City of
