NEWS RELEASE
SUBJECT: Netherland Inn Road is Back Open for Traffic
DATE: July 8, 2016
CASE #: 16-014338
GENERAL NARRATIVE
On July 8, 2016, as of 10:00 AM, Netherland Inn Road in Kingsport is back open for traffic.

As previously release:

On July 8, 2016, shortly after 8:00 AM, Kingsport Police Patrol Officers responded to a motor vehicle collision on Netherland Inn Road in the vicinity of the public boat ramp area of Riverfront Park. Based on the initial assessment, it appears that a red Honda CRX collided with and severed an AEP Utility Pole. No serious injuries were reported in the crash.

As a result of the crash, a section of Netherland Inn Road between Big Elm Road and Lilac Street will be temporarily closed to allow for the crash investigation, replacement of the utility pole, and clearing of the vehicle and debris. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and patience if necessity demands that they be in this area, but to avoid the area and seek an alternate route if at all possible.
