SUBJECT: Kingsport Police Request Assistance in Identifying Felony Shoplifting Couple

GENERAL NARRATIVE
On January 3, 2016, just after midnight, two suspects, one a white male and the other a white female, shoplifted approximately $550 in merchandise from Wal-Mart, located at 2500 West Stone Drive in Kingsport. The female served as a lookout while the male loaded a television sound bar, a vacuum cleaner, and several other assorted items into a shopping cart. The couple exited the store with no attempt to pay for the merchandise and fled the scene in a dark colored sedan.

Photos of the suspects, taken from surveillance video footage, have been included in this release. Anyone who recognizes either of them is asked to contact Detectives in the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111.
