SUBJECT: K.P.D. Searching for Female Who Snatched Purse from Cart while Victim Shopped at Local Grocery Store

GENERAL NARRATIVE
On April 3, 2015 at approximately 1:30 PM, a white female suspect snatched a purse from a shopping cart while the victim was shopping at Kroger, located at 1664 East Stone Drive in Kingsport. Immediately after stealing the purse, the suspect fled the scene as a passenger in what appears to be a dark colored, mid-1990s, Chevrolet Monte Carlo 2-door coupe. The total value of the purse and its contents was over $500.

Photos of the suspect and the vehicle in which she was traveling are included in this release. Anyone who recognizes her is asked to contact Detectives in the K.P.D. Criminal Investigations Division at 423-229-9429 or call Kingsport Central Dispatch at 423-246-9111.
