SUBJECT: Burglar Targets Mini Storage Office on Christmas Eve

GENERAL NARRATIVE
Sometime during the night of December 24, 2015, an unknown suspect burglarized the office of Lock and Key Mini Storage, located at 1701 Lynn Garden Drive in Kingsport. Entry was achieved by shattering a window on the exterior door.

Once inside, the suspect vandalized the surveillance camera system in an apparent attempt to disable it, but not before it captured him on video in the act of doing so. A 9mm Jennings semi-automatic pistol and an assortment of tools including an 18 volt cordless drill were stolen during the burglary.

None of the individual privately rented storage units were targeted by the thief.
