New Memorial Boulevard water line connections to require rolling outages
KINGSPORT – Connection of the new Memorial Boulevard water line to existing water lines will require intermittent water service interruption beginning Thursday August 5, 2010 and continuing through Tuesday, August 10. Impacted areas include neighborhoods in the vicinity of Miller Street, Central Street, Parkerson Drive, Conway Drive, Woodside Drive, Orebank Road, Edens Ridge Road and Stratford Road.‚ Service interruptions will occur between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. each day, with work to be completed as quickly as possible. The work was undertaken to replace a faulty line that was the source of frequent outages due to breakage, with the new line providing far more reliable service.
