The Kingsport Police Department wishes to thank citizens for their prompt response to the request for assistance in identifying this suspect. As previously released: The Kingsport Police Department needs your help in identifying a suspect in a motor vehicle theft from a local automobile dealership. On November 6, 2013 employees of Tri-Cities Dodge, located at 869 East Stone Drive in Kingsport, noticed that one of the used vehicles in their inventory, a 2011 Ford Fusion, was missing. While they were unsure of exactly how long the vehicle had been gone, their records indicated that the last time the vehicle could be accounted for was on October 31, 2013. On November 7, 2013, when personnel arrived to open the dealership, the missing vehicle was mysteriously found to have been returned and parked at the entrance. The keys had been placed in the overnight drop box. While cleaning out the vehicle after its return, a receipt dated November 1, 2013 from Wal-Mart, located at 2500 West Stone Drive in Kingsport, was located. Wal-Mart surveillance video from that date captured the vehicle being parked by a female suspect. The suspect was also recorded on surveillance footage while inside the store. She is described as a heavy-set white female, estimated to be in her 20s or 30s, of average height, with long dark hair (last seen pulled back in a ponytail). She appears to have several tattoos that are especially prominent on her left shoulder and upper arm area. For additional information, please contact: P.I.O. Thomas M. Patton K.P.D.
