KPD e-News Release: Kingsport Police to Hold D.U.I. Checkpoint
GENERAL NARRATIVE |
In the ongoing effort to reduce the problem of driving under the influence and related crashes, the Kingsport Police Department will be conducting a D.U.I. Sobriety Checkpoint on Friday, September 19, 2014 from 10:00 PM until 2:00 AM. This Checkpoint will be held at an undisclosed location in the City of Kingsport.
K.P.D. stresses that Tennessee D.U.I. laws apply not just to alcohol, but to any substance that impairs, including illegal drugs, over-the-counter (OTC) medications, as well as prescription drugs, even if they are prescribed by a physician. |
