KPD e-News Release: Kingsport Police Request Assistance in Identifying Debit Card Fraud Suspect
GENERAL NARRATIVE |
On March 21, 2014 at approximately 8:30 PM, what appears to be a white female suspect fraudulently used a stolen debit card to make a purchase of $266.22 at K-Mart, located at 1805 East Stone Drive in Kingsport. Three more unsuccessful attempts to use the card were made as well, one attempt at this same location, and two attempts at Walmart, located at 3200 Fort Henry Drive in Kingsport.
The suspect left the scene with what appears to be a white male accomplice in a newer model minivan. The debit card came to be in the possession of the suspect after the victim’s wallet was stolen in Washington County, TN. A photo of the suspect taken from surveillance video is included in this release. The actual video footage has been made available for viewing on the K.P.D. YouTube channel via the links below.
