Kingsport Traffic Division studying removal of signal light at Sullivan Street and Charlemont Avenue at Clay Street
KINGSPORT — As part of the Sullivan Street phase 2 project, which will run from Hammond Avenue to Shelby Street, the Kingsport Traffic Division is conducting a study to consider removing the signal light at the intersection of Sullivan Street and Charlemont Avenue at Clay Street.‚ Current traffic volumes at the intersection do not appear to warrant continuing signalization at this intersection.‚ If the signal is removed, it would be replaced by stop signs on Charlemont Avenue and Clay Street.‚ Anyone with questions or concerns about removing the signal is asked to submit those comments to the Kingsport Traffic Division by phoning 229-9487.
