Your attendance is requested on Thursday October 18th to attend an Active LivingWorkshop to learn how walkability and livability benefits our community and how an activeenvironment can be achieved ‚¬ for everyone.
The nations leading walkability expert, Dan Burden, will highlight the links betweeneconomic vitality, public health and transportation. The Active Living workshop will helpparticipants, including City leaders, government staff and others, recognize how planning anddesign influences community building and will provide a toolkit for building healthier places.
The workshop schedule is as follows:
8:30 a.m. Registration
8:45 a.m. Workshop: introduction, presentation and discussion
10:30 a.m. Break
10:45 a.m. Walking audit
12:00 p.m. Lunch reception
1:00 p.m. Workshop: walking audit findings, toolkit, visioning exercise and Q&As
3:00 p.m. Workshop concludes
5:00 p.m. Special Community presentation to City leaders, key groups and citizens at theKingsport Center for Higher Education (300 West Market Street, Kingsport, TN37660)
