Event Details

Kingsport’s third-annual Red, White and BOOM Independence Day Celebration is back and better than ever in 2024. This year’s free event will feature food trucks, fireworks, live music from The Marshall Tucker Band and more! The event will take place on Main Street in the Centennial Park area of Downtown Kingsport on Saturday, July 6th.
Activities kick off on Main Street at 5 p.m. and live music begins at 6:30. More than a dozen food trucks will line the street and many downtown restaurants will have modified hours to stay open later. Kingsport’s Independence Day Fireworks will follow the performance, with an estimated start time of 9:45. The fireworks soundtrack with be livestreamed on Electric 94.9.
This year we are excited to welcome headliner, The Marshall Tucker Band. Made up of Doug Gray, B.B. Borden, Ryan Ware, Marcus James Henderson, Chris Hicks and Rick Willis, The Marshall Tucker Band has been entertaining audiences for over 50 years. The legendary Southern Rock band has released more than 20 studio albums and hits like “Can’t You See,” “Heard It in a Love Song,” “Fire on the Mountain” and countless others.
Opening the show will be The Cleverlys. The Cleverlys is a one-of-a-kind comedy and music experience. The New York Times says, “If Dolly Parton, Earl Scruggs and Spinal Tap spawned a litter of puppies, it would be The Cleverlys.” The group is made up of Dr. Digger, his nephews Ricky Lloyd, Dale Vernon Dale, Haggis, and his youngest brother, Wasper.
Red, White and BOOM is made possible by Cardinal Glass, City of Kingsport, Eastman Credit Union, Spivey, King & Spivey, LLP, WJHL, Electric 94.9 and Visit Kingsport.
The event is free and open to the public. Grab a chair or blanket and bring the whole family to enjoy an evening of food, beverage, music and fireworks. Follow Visit Kingsport on Facebook or Instagram, or visit redwhiteboomkpt.com for updates and additional information about Red, White and BOOM.
