Kingsport Citizens’ Fire Academy 2019

The Kingsport Fire Department is currently taking applications for the Kingsport Citizens’ Fire Academy 2019.  Applications will be taken until June 28th. The Kingsport Citizens’ Fire Academy 2019 will be held Thursday, August 8th through September 26th, from 6:30pm-8:30pm.

The Citizens’ Fire Academy is intended to increase public awareness through education, demonstration, and participation by the class. We hope to create a safer home and work environment through fire prevention, extinguishment techniques, and training. We also want the citizens to know all the things we do besides Firefighting: Emergency Medical, Hazardous Materials, Specialized Rescue, etc. We hope to familiarize and inform the citizens of Kingsport of what a great department they have.
